What is Belmont Hill Hockey Anyway?
Well, it ain’t nothin’ fancy. It’s just a school, Belmont Hill School, and they got themselves a hockey team… or a few, actually. They got the main team, the Varsity, then the JV, and even some younger fellas playin’ on the Thirds and Fourths teams. Sounds like a whole lotta hockey to me!

- Junior Varsity: The fellas tryin’ to get to the top.
- Thirds and Fourths: The youngsters learnin’ the ropes.
They play in somethin’ called the ISL and New England, which I reckon is a big deal for these kids. Heard tell they got a “tradition of excellence,” which means they’re pretty darn good most of the time.
Last Season and This Season
Now, last year they were kinda new, a young team, like a bunch of calves learnin’ to walk. But this year? Folks are expectin’ big things. Heard some folks talkin’, sayin’ these boys are gonna be somethin’ special. Guess we’ll have to wait and see, won’t we?
Hockey Levels and Whatnot
This whole hockey thing, it’s got levels, you know? Like, there’s the tippy-top, they call it Tier 1 or Triple-A. That’s where the real good players go. Then there’s Tier 2, or Double-A or A, still good, but not quite the tippy-top. And then there’s Tier 3, that’s where ya start out, learnin’ the game.
Then there’s this Junior A and Junior B stuff. Junior A, that’s like, you play all over the place, but ya still go to college if ya want. Junior B, ya stay closer to home, and still got a chance at college. It’s all a bit confusing, if ya ask me.
Tier 2 and the “Elite” Players
Heard tell there’s a Tier 2 league, for the “elite” players. These fellas are good, real good, and they play all over the country. Got fancy owners and everything. They help the players get better, and the coaches too, I guess.
Finding Belmont Hill Hockey Stuff
If you wanna know more about these Belmont Hill boys, like when they play and who’s on the team, you gotta go lookin’ online. They got calendars and rosters and all that fancy stuff. I ain’t too good with that computer stuff, but my grandson, he’s a whiz. He could find it for ya in a jiffy.
Belmont Boys Hockey Diehards
And let me tell ya, there’s folks ’round here, they love this Belmont Hill hockey. They call ’em “diehards.” They follow the team everywhere, cheerin’ and yellin’. It’s somethin’ to see, alright.
