Okay, so, I’ve been digging into this whole App State football depth chart thing for 2023, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. I wanted to see who’s who on the team, you know, who’s starting, who’s backing up, and all that jazz.
First off, I hit up the usual spots online, trying to find some solid info. I found a few different websites that talked about the Appalachian State Mountaineers’ roster. It was a little tricky, because some sites had more info than others. But I kept at it, because I really wanted to get the full picture. I started to collect different names from the websites.
I started making a list of all the players, trying to figure out their positions. It was kind of like putting together a puzzle, piecing together bits of information from here and there. I looked at who was listed as a starter on one site, then cross-referenced that with another site to see if it matched up. I felt like a detective. It took some time, but I was slowly getting somewhere.
After a while, I had a pretty decent list going. I had a good idea of who the main guys were, the starters, and who was probably going to be their backups. It wasn’t perfect, mind you, but it was a solid start. I had the offense, defense, and some key player stacks. I was happy about this, and I continued to look for more details.
My Findings
So, what did I find out? Well, without going into every single player, I can tell you that the 2023 team looks pretty interesting. I was able to put together a list of the projected starters and their backups for most positions.
- Offense: I found out who’s likely going to be the starting quarterback, running backs, wide receivers, and so on.
- Defense: Same deal here. I got a pretty good sense of the defensive line, linebackers, and the secondary.
Honestly, it was more work than I expected, but it was worth it. Now I’ve got a much better understanding of the App State football team’s lineup for 2023. I can have better knowledge to watch their games. I am thinking of digging into past stats of each player. I am not sure yet, but maybe next time.
