Okay, so, I’ve been trying to keep up with the local football scene here in Bakersfield. You know how it is, gotta support the hometown teams. It’s been a bit of a wild ride, to be honest.
First off, I started digging around for any info I could find on the recent games. I heard something about the Bakersfield College Renegades playing against the Golden West Rustlers. Sounds intense, right? Turns out, it was the season opener at Memorial Stadium. I found out that the Rustlers actually won, 27-25. A close one! Must have been a real nail-biter for everyone watching.
Then, I went down a rabbit hole trying to find more scores. It’s kinda tricky, you know? Information is scattered all over the place. But, I managed to find something about some high school games in Kern County. One game that caught my eye was Garces Memorial versus Liberty. Liberty won that one, 41-13. Ouch, that’s a tough loss for Garces.
- The games I found:
- Bakersfield College Renegades vs Golden West Rustlers
- Garces Memorial vs Liberty
- Delano vs Chavez
I also stumbled upon some stuff about upcoming games, but nothing concrete. Like, there’s something happening on Friday, August 30, 2024, but who’s playing? Your guess is as good as mine. And then there’s a mention of a game on Friday, December 13, 2024, involving some top-ranked teams from Bakersfield. But again, details are scarce.
My findings
I checked out this website called “On3” that supposedly has scores and schedules for Bakersfield football, but it wasn’t much help, honestly. I mean, it had some team names and all, but it was more confusing than anything else.
I did find some pictures, though. One was of a player from Stockdale celebrating a touchdown. The dude’s name is Athan Pena, apparently. Cool picture, but doesn’t really tell me much about the scores. There was another picture of some guy named Cameron Cash from Taft getting tackled by a bunch of players from Chavez. That looked painful. Again, not much help with scores, but it’s something, I guess.
I even looked into the Renegade Athletics website. It’s like the official place for sports stuff at Bakersfield College. They’ve got all kinds of sports there, not just football. Basketball, swimming, tennis, you name it. But I was really focused on football. They’ve apparently won four national championships in football, which is pretty impressive. The stadium they play in, Memorial Stadium, can hold 20,000 people! That’s a lot of screaming fans.
So, yeah, that’s my journey into the world of Bakersfield football scores. It’s been a bit messy, and I haven’t found everything I was looking for. But, it’s been interesting. I’ll probably keep digging around, maybe I’ll have better luck next time. Who knows, maybe I’ll even catch a game live sometime. That would be cool.
That’s all.
