Today, I want to talk about the MIAA tournament for hockey. It was a real nail-biter, let me tell you!
So, I headed out early this morning to catch the games. It was a bit of a drive, but hey, gotta support the local teams, right? I packed a cooler with some drinks and snacks ’cause you know how those concession stand prices can be. Ouch!
- First up, I watched the match between the St. John’s and Catholic Memorial. Man, what a game! It was back and forth the whole time. St. John’s had some slick moves, but Catholic Memorial’s goalie was like a brick wall.
- Grabbed a hot dog during the intermission. Gotta say, nothing beats a good old hockey game hot dog.
- Then, it was time for the finals! Xaverian vs. Pope Francis. This one was intense, folks. Xaverian took an early lead, but Pope Francis fought back hard. The crowd was going wild, the energy was electric.
- I lost my voice from all the cheering, but it was totally worth it. Pope Francis managed to pull off a stunning upset and won the championship!
The Results
Pope Francis clinched the title! They really played their hearts out. It was a well-deserved win, no doubt. Xaverian gave it their all, too. It was a great game to watch, that’s for sure.
I stayed around after the game to soak it all in. I saw a few of the players, and they were all smiles. I mean, who wouldn’t be after a win like that? Overall, it was a fantastic day of hockey. I’m already looking forward to next year’s tournament!
