Well now, let me tell ya somethin’ about tennis in Carson City. I ain’t no fancy player myself, but I hear tell there’s plenty of places to swing a racket ’round here.
First off, folks keep talkin’ ’bout these tennis clubs. Sounds like a good place to start if you’re lookin’ to play. I heard tell of the Carson Tennis Club. Don’t know much about it myself, but they say it’s on Centennial Park Drive. You could give ’em a ring at 775-772-5880 if you’re itchin’ to know more. Heard they got ladders, tournaments, leagues, and lessons, all sorts of things for them tennis folks.
Now, if you ain’t lookin’ for no fancy club, there’s plenty of parks with tennis courts. Ross Gold Park, Mills Park, JohnD Winters Centennial Park, John Mankins Park, James Lee Memorial Park, Kilner Park… See? I told ya there’s a bunch! Just gotta find one near ya. I reckon most of them are free, or near ’bout free, which is good for folks like us who ain’t got money to burn.
Then there’s them places for lessons. I hear tell you can find lessons for all sorts, kids, beginners, even that cardio tennis stuff. Sounds like a lot of huffin’ and puffin’ to me, but to each their own, I always say. You can find folks teachin’ all over town, just gotta look around.
If you’re lookin’ to play indoors, ’cause maybe it’s too hot or too cold, well, there’s a few places for that too. Nevada Tennis, Kahle Community Center, and some other places up in Incline Village and Trout Creek. Them fancy places, I reckon, but good if you don’t want the sun beatin’ down on ya.
- Tennis Clubs: Carson Tennis Club is one, but there might be others I ain’t heard of.
- Parks with Courts: Ross Gold, Mills, Centennial, John Mankins, James Lee, Kilner… lots to choose from!
- Tennis Lessons: Kids, beginners, cardio, private… you name it, they got it.
- Indoor Tennis: Nevada Tennis, Kahle Community Center, and some places up north if you’re fancy.
Now, I heard tell some of these tennis clubs can be mighty expensive. Heard of one place, not in Carson City mind you, but they charge a whole heap of money just to join, somethin’ like $25,000! And then you gotta pay more every month! Land sakes, that’s more money than I’ve seen in my whole life! But I reckon them Carson City places ain’t that bad. Just gotta find what suits your pocketbook.
Anyways, if you’re lookin’ to play tennis in Carson City, it seems like you got plenty of choices. Just gotta decide what you want and how much you’re willin’ to spend. And don’t forget to have fun! Even an old woman like me knows that’s the most important part.
And one more thing, I ain’t got no dog in this fight, just tellin’ ya what I heard. So don’t come complainin’ to me if you don’t like somethin’! You go find out for yourself! That’s what I always say.
Now go on and get to swingin’ that racket!
