So, I’ve been digging into the Binghamton men’s tennis scene lately. It’s pretty interesting stuff, let me tell you.
I started by checking out their schedule for the 2023-24 season. I mean, who doesn’t love a good schedule? Gotta know when the action is happening, right?
It looks like they had a busy time, especially with that five-match roadstand! I followed them virtually, of course. They went against Colgate on February 2nd, then NJIT on the 7th, Monmouth on the 8th, Siena on the 14th, and then Bucknell. What a trip!
- Colgate: February 2nd
- NJIT: February 7th
- Monmouth: February 8th
- Siena: February 14th
- Bucknell: ? (They went, but I couldn’t find the exact date!)
I also saw that they are part of the Mid-American Conference. Makes sense, they gotta play somewhere! And from what I saw, they had some mid-season mini-tournament called “Mountaintop Mayhem”. Sounds intense, doesn’t it?
I looked up some of their results too. On March 8th, they played, but I couldn’t find the result of that match. Oh well, win or lose, they played!
And to kick off 2024, they played against Cleveland State on a Friday and Youngstown State on a Saturday. Busy, busy, busy!
Finding More Info
I found a post that said they were “serving it up indoors” at Binghamton. Nice to know where they’re playing, even if it’s just a general idea.
Then there was something about four student-athletes making some kind of academic list. Smart AND athletic, that’s the way to be! There was this guy, Lukas Engelhardt, from the Ole Miss team, and Elizabeth Franklin from some soccer team. Good for them!
Anyway, that’s what I’ve found out about the Binghamton men’s tennis team so far. It’s been a fun little journey exploring their world. I’ll keep my eyes open for more updates. You never know what you’ll find when you start digging around!
