Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with something I’ve been curious about for a while – comparing the scores of Brown and Harvard. Yeah, I know, sounds a bit nerdy, but hey, that’s me!
I started off by digging around the internet for any kind of recent results I could find. It looks like they’ve got data from a bunch of games, like football and basketball, going back a while. First one I found was a football game from September 28, 2024, and it had all the passing stats and everything. So I grabbed that.
Then I stumbled upon another game, this one was basketball, from January 18. I made a note of that one too. I kept digging and found another basketball game result from March 1, where Brown won by just a few points, 71-68. That seemed like a close one!
I switched back to football and found another match from September 22, 2023. Noted that down as well. I even found some random page mentioning box scores from January 7, so I guess that’s when they started keeping track of this stuff.
I also happened to see a mention of a Kenneth C. Zirkel at Brown University Engineering Research Center. Not sure what he has to do with the scores, but it was interesting, I guess.
While I was at it, I bumped into some flashcards on Quizlet talking about knowledge management and social constructs. Got a little sidetracked there, but those were some cool concepts. I made sure to save those for later.
Finally, I found another football game summary from September 24, where Harvard won 35-28. That makes it two wins for Harvard in football so far.
Oh, and those Quizlet flashcards also had some stuff about anticodon loops, acceptor systems, and splicing. I didn’t fully get those, but I saved them too, because why not? More learning for later!
Here’s what I gathered:
- Football, September 28, 2024: Found the box score, including passing stats.
- Basketball, January 18: They played.
- Basketball, March 1: Brown won 71-68.
- Football, September 22, 2023: Found the box score, including passing stats.
- Box Scores start from January 7.
- Football, September 24: Harvard won 35-28.
So yeah, that was my little adventure today. It is really messy and not very conclusive, but I did find some scores and learned a few random things along the way. Might not mean much in the grand scheme of things, but it was fun for me to piece together. Maybe I’ll try to make more sense of this later, who knows.
