Okay, so I’ve been trying to put together this hockey roster for Cushing Academy, and let me tell you, it’s been a real journey. I started off pretty clueless, just knowing that Cushing has a good hockey program. I mean, I’d heard they had a bunch of guys go pro and even some Olympians, which is pretty impressive.
First, I tried to find the roster for this coming season, you know, the 24-25 one. I dug around on some sports websites. It wasn’t easy, but I finally found a few names: Marko Bilic, Jackson Irving, Tyler Russo, and Tim Kippenberger. That gave me a starting point, at least.
Then I stumbled upon some pages that listed the team’s stats and stuff. They had these pages for both the main varsity team and the Varsity B team. I spent hours going through those, trying to piece together who was who and what their positions were. It felt like detective work, honestly.
I also learned that the Varsity B team plays all over New England and they even host something called the Rust Cup at the end of the season. Sounds like a big deal! There was this one website that seemed to cover all the prep hockey teams in New England, and they had game recaps and player stats. That was a goldmine of information!
From what I gathered, everyone’s pretty hyped about the upcoming season for Cushing’s team. They’ve got some strong seniors like Marko Bilic and Alexis Boiley. There was even this thing about managing the team’s roster and scores online, which I thought was pretty cool. I tried to claim it by myself for the practice.
- Looked for the 24-25 roster.
- Found some key players like Bilic and Irving.
- Discovered the team’s stats and schedule.
- Learned about the Varsity B team and the Rust Cup.
- Read game recaps and player stats.
- Got excited about the upcoming season.
So yeah, that’s where I’m at with this Cushing hockey roster project. It’s been a lot of work, but I’ve learned a ton along the way. It’s pretty cool to see how much goes into building a successful hockey program like theirs.
Difficulties
One of the hardest things was finding up-to-date info. Some of the websites I found were outdated, and it was tough to know what was accurate. I had to cross-reference a lot of information to make sure I was getting it right.
Next Steps
I’m still not done, though. I want to keep digging and see if I can find more info about the individual players. Maybe even get some insights into their playing styles and what they bring to the team. There are still some players that I don’t know their details. I tried to find more about them. It’s a work in progress, but I’m determined to get the full picture.
