Well, let me tell ya, this “aus scoreboard” thing, it’s all about them cricket matches, ya know? Them fellas running around with bats and balls. I don’t understand much of it, but my grandson, he’s always glued to the TV, hollerin’ about runs and wickets and such.

- And then there’s talk about “Tests”. Don’t know why they call ’em that. These “Tests”, they go on for days, it seems. My grandson, he sits there for hours, watchin’ them fellas throw that ball and hit it with the bat. Sometimes they hit it far, sometimes they don’t hit it at all.
This “aus scoreboard”, it shows all this stuff. It shows how many runs each fella got, how many wickets fell, and who’s winnin’. It’s like a big ol’ chalkboard in the sky, but on the TV or the phone, my grandson tells me. He says you can even watch it live, like seein’ it happen right then and there. And it ain’t just cricket, ya know. This “AUS”, it also stands for somethin’ else, somethin’ about universities. My grandson told me, it’s like a bunch of schools gettin’ together to play sports. Basketball, I think he said, and other things. And they got a scoreboard for that too, I guess. But mostly, when folks talk about “aus scoreboard”, they meanin’ the cricket.
So, why do folks care so much about this scoreboard? Well, I guess they like seein’ their team win. It’s like when the local farmers have them tractor pullin’ contests. Everybody cheers for their favorite tractor. It’s the same kinda thing, I reckon, just with cricket instead of tractors. And these cricket fellas, they travel all over the world playin’ these matches. My grandson was tellin’ me, they went to England and all sorts of places. Must be tirin’, all that travelin’.
And then they got these big wins, they call ’em “big wins”, and the news folks get all excited. They say things like, “It’s India’s third-biggest win!” Like it’s the biggest thing that ever happened. My grandson, he gets all worked up too. He jumps up and down and hollers. It’s somethin’ to see, I tell ya.
This aus scoreboard, it’s got all the details. Dates and times and places. My grandson, he checks it all the time. He knows when the matches are gonna be and who’s playin’ who. He’s got it all figured out. Me, I just sit there and listen to him holler. Sometimes I even watch a little bit, but it’s hard to follow. Too much runnin’ around and hittin’ for my old eyes.
