Okay, so today I decided to dig into something I’ve been meaning to check out for a while – tracking tennis scores, specifically for Ann Li. I’m not building the next big sports app or anything, just wanted to see if I could pull the data and maybe learn a thing or two along the way.
Getting Started
First things first, I needed to find a place that actually has Ann Li’s scores. You know, a reliable source. I figured a major sports website would be the best bet.
The Process
I started by inspecting, trying a few different ways. I felt like a detective, poking around for clues. I mean, I was looking, selecting the elements containing, to eventually find some useable data.
- Opened up the inspector.
- Figured out what was there.
- Tried different methods.
Making Sense of It
So, after all, I managed to use the data I needed, which was great.
It’s was really a good feeling to be able to inspect the data and get the information.
Wrapping Up
All in all, it was a pretty successful experiment. I didn’t build anything fancy, but I proved to myself that I could grab the data I needed. And that’s a win in my book. Plus, I got to learn a little bit more about how these websites are put together, which is always cool. Maybe next time I’ll try to automate the whole process. Baby steps, right?
