Okay, so today I decided to figure out this whole “Harris Tennis Score” thing. I’d heard the name tossed around, but I didn’t really get it. So, I dove in.
First Steps: What Is It?
My first step was just basic Googling. I needed to understand what this scoring system even was before I could try to use it. Turns out, it’s an alternative way to score tennis matches, designed to be a bit more… dynamic, maybe? Less predictable?
The Deep Dive: Trying it Out
I grabbed a pen and paper, and actually started by watching old tennis matches record.
- Point by point tracking:Every time a player scored,I will record it one by one.
- Calculate New Score:Keep track of how point affects the overall match score, not just the game or set score.
Honestly, the first few times were rough. I kept losing track. It’s definitely more involved than just counting games and sets. I had to really focus on the numbers and do some simple additions on the fly.
Getting the Hang of It
After a couple of practice runs, I started to get a feel for the * point is try to make a new way to scoring.
My Verdict (So Far)
It’s… interesting. I’m not sure if I’d use it for every match I watch or play, but it definitely adds a different layer of analysis. It felt a bit more like tracking momentum, if that makes sense. I can see why some people might prefer it, especially for closer matches. I think I’ll keep playing around with it. Maybe it’ll grow on me!
