Okay, so let me tell you about this little project I’ve been messing with. It all started when I was trying to keep up with the Concordia Cobbers football scores. You know, the team from Concordia College in Moorhead? Yeah, those guys. I wanted an easy way to get their scores without digging through a million websites.
First, I scoured the internet, looking for any site that might have the scores. I found some stuff on ESPN and a few mentions on the college’s sports page. They talked about live broadcasts and how Concordia was like, the first in the MIAC to do all this live streaming stuff. Cool, but not exactly what I needed. I needed something simple, like just the score from each game.
Then I stumbled upon this game they’re playing against Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds on September 7, 2024. It’s an NCAA game, apparently. That got me thinking, maybe I could just grab the info from there. So, I dug a bit deeper into that angle.
What I Did
- Checked out the Concordia Moorhead Cobbers’ official site: I figured, who better to get the scores from than the source, right?
- Looked at some sports news sites: You know, places like ESPN, to see if they had a quick summary of the scores.
- Noted down the date of that game against Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds: Seemed like a good place to test my idea.
I basically just wanted to see if I could pull the scores from these sources and maybe put them together in one place. No fancy tech, just a simple way to get the scores. I’m not a coder or anything, so I kept it super basic. I’m just a regular guy trying to follow his team, you know?
So, that’s where I’m at now. I managed to find a few places that have the scores and game info. Next, I’m gonna see if I can maybe just copy and paste them into a document or something. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it’s been a fun little project. Plus, I get to keep up with my Cobbers, so that’s a win!
