Okay, so I’ve been meaning to tell you guys about this crazy experience I had at the Harvard University hockey camp. It was a wild ride, let me tell you!
First off, I packed my bags. I mean, I stuffed everything I could think of into my hockey bag. Skates, sticks, pads, you name it. I even threw in a few extra pairs of socks, just in case. You never know, right? Then I double-checked everything. And triple-checked. I was so nervous, I didn’t want to forget anything crucial.
Next, I hit the road. Getting there was a bit of a journey. I drove for hours, blasted some tunes, and tried not to get lost. I finally arrived at the campus, and it was huge! I mean, this place was massive. I found the rink, and my jaw just dropped. It was like something out of a movie.
On the Ice
When I got on the ice, it was a whole different world. The coaches were intense, but in a good way. They really knew their stuff. We did all sorts of drills – skating, passing, shooting, you name it. I was exhausted, but I loved every minute of it.
- Skated until my legs felt like jelly.
- Worked on my shot until it was (almost) perfect.
- Learned some new tricks that I couldn’t wait to try out.
- Passed and passed and passed the puck.
The other players were pretty cool too. We bonded over our shared love for the game, even though we were all competing against each other. We pushed each other to be better, and I think I improved a lot just from being around them.
Off the Ice
Off the ice, we had some fun too. We explored the campus, checked out the dorms, and even caught a glimpse of some of the other facilities. It was cool to see where some of the best hockey players in the world had trained.
Overall, the Harvard University hockey camp was an amazing experience. I learned so much, made some new friends, and got a taste of what it’s like to be a part of a top-tier hockey program. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat!
