Alright, so I wanted to keep up with the Colgate women’s tennis team this season, you know, see how they’re doing and all that. The first thing I did was try to find their schedule.
So I hit up the usual spots, you know, just Googled “Colgate women’s tennis schedule”. I saw a bunch of results pop up, but I wanted the official one, straight from the source. I figured the Colgate Athletics website would have it.
I clicked around on their site, looking for the tennis section. It took a little bit, not gonna lie, the site’s a little clunky. Eventually, I found the women’s tennis page, and yep, they had a schedule there.
Figuring Out the Schedule
It wasn’t super easy to read, though. It had all the matches listed, but it was just a big long list. I wanted to see it in a calendar format, but they didn’t have that. Bummer.
- First thing, I copied the whole schedule.
- Then I opened up a Google Sheet.
- I pasted the schedule into the sheet.
It was a mess. Dates, opponents, locations, all jumbled together. I spent a good chunk of time cleaning it up, separating the data into different columns. It wasn’t fun, but I got it done. It’s still rough, but readable.
What’s Next?
Now that I have the schedule all organized, I’m going to try to find some live scores or updates for the matches. Maybe I’ll even make my own little calendar with the match dates. It would be cool to see how the team progresses throughout the season, and having it all in one place, in a format I like, that’s going to make it way easier to keep track of.
I might also check out some social media, see if the team or the players post any updates. It’s always cool to get that behind-the-scenes look. I mean, it’s the closest I’ll get to actually being there, right?
This whole thing took longer than I thought, but hey, now I’m set for the season. Hopefully, Colgate’s women’s tennis team does well. I’ll be following along, that’s for sure, now that I’ve done all this work. Go Raiders, I guess!
