Okay, so today I wanted to try out something called “Cooper Snee Hockey.” Honestly, I didn’t even know what it was at first. I just saw it mentioned somewhere and thought, “Sounds interesting, let’s give it a shot!”
Getting Started
First things first, I had to figure out what this even is. I did a bit of searching around, and it turns out it’s some kind of hockey drill. Apparently, it is a very popular warm-up method. Cool, I’m always up for trying new drills!
The Process
It was tricky. My muscle memory kept kicking in, making me want to do a full wind-up and slap the puck. Nope, gotta resist! This drill is all about control and quick release, not power.
I spent a good chunk of time just working. Honestly, it felt awkward at first. I felt like I was barely tapping the puck, and it wasn’t going very far or very fast. I definitely whiffed a few times too, completely missing the puck. Oops!
The Results
- Improved Wrist Strength: I definitely felt it in my forearms after a while. This drill is a sneaky workout!
- Better Puck Control: Even though it felt weird at first, I could tell my puck handling was getting a little crisper.
- Quicker Release: This was the big one. I started to see how this drill could help me get shots off faster in a game situation.
After it all, I think “Cooper Snee Hockey” is a useful,it requires your technique and patience,It’s something I’ll probably add to my warm-up routine, even if it’s just for a few minutes. It’s a good reminder that sometimes, slowing things down and focusing on the fundamentals can make a big difference.
