Man, I gotta tell you about this softball game I checked out the other day. I was looking for the Ohio State softball score, and let me just say, it was a wild ride.
Started off kinda slow, you know? I searched for the score and found that they were playing against Dayton. It was one of those midweek games, so I was curious how it would go.
Getting into the Game
I dug a little deeper and saw they were coming off a series against Rutgers. Turns out, they had just finished their first Big Ten series. They had an 11-9 win in a resumed game. Pretty cool, right? Anyway, back to this game.
The Scoreless Stretch
So, they were trailing 1-0. And get this, they were down for five whole innings. Five! It was a real nail-biter, I was like, “Come on, Ohio State, get it together!” I mean, I’m just reading about this, and even I’m getting antsy.
Seventh Inning Drama
Then came the seventh inning. The tension was building up, and things were getting serious. I read that they had runners on second and third base. And only one out! This was their chance, you know?
- Runners on second and third.
- One out.
- Seventh inning.
The Comeback Hero
That’s when this player, Allison Smith, really stepped up. She had been pitching in relief for about 5.2 innings. And guess what? She got the win! I was so stoked reading that. It’s always awesome to see someone come in and turn things around like that.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure checking out the Ohio State softball score. It was a rollercoaster, but it’s always fun to follow these games. That seventh-inning comeback was definitely the highlight. Gotta love those close games!
