Okay, so today I messed around with something called “e9hockey.” I had heard about it before, kinda like a beer league management thing, and figured I’d give it a shot. I’ve been trying to get better at organizing our team, so this seemed like it might help.
First, I went searching around to find the official site. I found a bunch of stuff, and I got all confused about what was actually for real. Then, I found the right website, and it took some time to get it started.
The Sign-Up Process (a bit of a pain)
Honestly, signing up was more complicated than I expected. Lots of forms to fill out – team name, player names, emails, all that stuff. Took me a while to wrangle everyone’s info and get it all entered.
Getting Used to the Interface
Once I got through all that, I started poking around. It’s got a lot of features, which is cool, but also a little overwhelming at first. I spent a good chunk of time just clicking around, trying to figure out where everything was.
- There’s a section for schedules, which is what I really need.
- There’s a place to track stats, which is kinda neat, though I don’t know if we’ll actually use it.
- And there’s even a messaging system so you can blast out emails to the whole team.
My First Attempt at a Schedule
I decided to dive in and try to create a schedule for our upcoming games. It took a few tries to figure it out, I kept messing up the dates, and accidentally double-booked us one week. But eventually, I got the hang of it, and got the basic schedule entered.
What I still want to get done.
- I want to check more detail options and find more things can be used.
- I want to try another e9hockey website, because I found more than 1 results.
- I want to watch the toturial video to find whether the function is useful or not.
So, that was my day with e9hockey. It’s a bit of a learning curve, but I think it could actually be pretty useful once I get the hang of it. I am planning to find more features that can be helpfull for my team. Still a lot to explore, but it’s a start!
