Okay, so I wanted to keep better track of tennis scores, specifically this up-and-comer, Fabian Marozsan. I’d heard some buzz about him, and I wanted a simple way to follow his progress. So, I started this little project to do just that.
Finding a Good Source
First things first, I needed a place to get the actual scores. I didn’t want anything fancy, just straight-up results. After poking around a bit, I found that this site offers live scores, past results, and even some player details. Sounded perfect!
Setting Up My Tracking Sheet
Next, I needed a place to put all this info. I’m a simple guy, I used a regular spreadsheet. I made some columns for things like:
- Date: So I know when the match happened.
- Opponent: Who Marozsan played against.
- Tournament: Where the match took place.
- Result: Win or Loss.
- Score: The actual game scores.
- Notes:Any interesting observations I had such as the player points, ranking, history, titles won, prize, and even if there’s an injury updates!
Getting the Initial Data
I went back to this website and started filling in my spreadsheet. I went through Marozsan’s recent matches, adding in all the details. It was a bit tedious at first, but I got into a rhythm.
Checking Regularly for Updates
Now, this is an ongoing thing. I set a reminder to check the site every day or so, especially when I knew there were tournaments going on. Whenever Marozsan played, I’d hop back onto my spreadsheet and add the new match info. It helped a lot and I never missed a match.
Seeing the Results
After a few weeks of doing this, I had a pretty neat little record of Marozsan’s performance. I could easily see his wins and losses, who he’s been playing against, and how he’s been doing overall. This data helped me understand his ranking, how many titles he won and the money he made!
It’s not rocket science, I know, but it’s been a fun little way to keep up with a player I’m interested in. Plus, it’s satisfying to have all that data organized in one place. Now, I just keep adding to it whenever there’s a new match. Simple as that!
