Okay, so, I’ve been trying to keep up with the Fairmont State football team lately. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, to be honest. I started by checking out their schedule for the season.
I found out they’re called the Fighting Falcons, which is a pretty cool name, I guess. They’re based in West Virginia, representing Fairmont State University. I dug a little deeper and discovered they had a game against West Liberty University on Senior Day. Sounds important, right?
- I read that they were down by 15 points going into the fourth quarter.
- But then, they managed to score 16 unanswered points! That’s incredible!
- They won the game 36-35. What a comeback!
Then there was this other game, against the University of Charleston. It was a Friday night game, which is unusual. Apparently, Charleston is ranked 11th, so they’re pretty good. I learned that the Falcons lost that one. Bummer.
I also stumbled upon a game summary of a match against Bloomsburg Huskies. Fairmont State won that one, 35-7. Seems like they have their good days and bad days.
I’ve been trying to follow their scores and news. I saw they had a game scheduled against Edinboro at Duvall Rosier Field. They won it by a large margin.
Honestly, it’s been a bit tough to keep track of everything, but I’m doing my best. It’s fun to see how they’re performing each game. It sounds like they have some really exciting moments, and then some tough losses. It keeps me on my toes, that’s for sure!
The key takeaway
I guess what I’m learning is that following a sports team is a bit of a journey. It’s not always easy, and it sure is not boring. For all of the fans, it is a journey full of passion and emotion.
