Now, that Serena girl, everyone knows her, right? She’s a tough one, I tell ya. But even her fastest ain’t nothin’ compared to that Groth fella. Hers was somethin’ like 128.3 miles per hour. Still fast, mind you, faster than anythin’ I could ever throw, but not the fastest ever. It just shows ya, there’s always someone a bit quicker, ain’t there?
Then there’s this other guy, Raonic, they say he’s got a cannon for an arm too. He whacked one at 155.3 miles per hour. That’s right speedy, almost as fast as that Groth fella. These young’uns, they got muscles I ain’t never seen before. Must be all that fancy trainin’ they do.

It makes you wonder, how much faster can they get? Will someone come along and hit one even faster than that Groth fella? Maybe someday they’ll be hittin’ ’em so fast you can’t even see the ball! Wouldn’t that be somethin’? I tell ya, these tennis folks, they’re always pushin’ the limits.
So, who’s the fastest? Well, seems like that Sam Groth fella holds the record right now. But those other fellas, Raonic and Isner, they ain’t far behind. And who knows, maybe there’s some young whippersnapper out there right now just practicin’ and gettin’ ready to break that record. It’s somethin’ to keep an eye on, that’s for sure.
I reckon tennis is more excitin’ than I thought. All that runnin’ and hittin’ and wham, that ball goes flyin’. Makes my old bones ache just thinkin’ about it, but it sure is somethin’ to watch.
