Okay, so today I decided to get back on the court and work on my basketball skills. It had been a while, and honestly, I was feeling a little rusty. The goal was to just have some fun and get a good workout in, focusing on the fundamentals.
Warm-up Time
I started with some basic stretches. You know, gotta loosen up those muscles! I did some arm circles, leg swings, and a bit of jogging in place. Nothing fancy, just enough to get the blood flowing.
Drills, Drills, Drills
- Dribbling: I spent a good chunk of time just dribbling the ball. Left hand, right hand, crossovers – the works. It’s amazing how quickly you can lose your touch if you don’t practice. At first, I fumbled a bit, but I could feel myself getting more comfortable as I went along.
- Shooting: Next up was shooting practice. I started close to the basket, focusing on my form. Keeping my elbow in, following through with my wrist – all that good stuff.
- Layups: Then,I mixed in some layups.
- Free Throws: I finished up my shooting practice with some free throws.
Putting It All Together
After working on individual skills, I decided to put it all together. I played a little one-on-one with myself, imagining I was going up against a defender. I drove to the basket, pulled up for jump shots, and even tried a few fadeaways (which were mostly air balls, but hey, gotta have fun with it!).
Cool Down
Finally, I finished up with a cool-down. I did another round of light *,I walked back home.
