Man, getting tickets for the Florida vs. Texas football game was a wild ride. I decided I absolutely had to be there, so I started looking into it.
First, I went straight to the official Texas Longhorns website, you know, the .edu site. I figured that was the best place to start, right? I found their “Tickets” page. There’s also some info about their Facebook and Twitter, but I didn’t go there this time.
Then, I checked out Vivid Seats, I heard that’s a good place to find tickets, too. It said that the game date is Saturday, so I started to plan that date in my schedule.
I also saw there are like 402 tickets available on another website, so I felt a bit relieved. Then I learned that you can buy tickets on the UWF website, too. I found out that season tickets are still available and got their phone number, which is 850-474-ARGO. They also have a sign-up link, but I didn’t use it this time.
Here’s where it got interesting: I went to check prices on StubHub and VividSeats. The cheapest I could find was $312 on StubHub and $259 on VividSeats. For lower-bowl seats, it was even more, starting at $466 on StubHub and $413 on VividSeats! I also saw a bunch of other options on Ticketmaster, but those were just as pricey.
And then I discovered something called “The Big Ticket” for UT students. It’s a sports pass for $175 plus a $20 fee that gets you into all home games. That’s over 120 events, including football, basketball, baseball and more. What a steal! Too bad I’m not a student anymore.
Finally, I found some info saying that Texas first faced Florida 100 years ago! But they haven’t played each other that much since. And this game is going to be at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.
So yeah, that’s my journey to getting Florida vs. Texas football tickets. It was a bit of a hassle, but I got them in the end. Now I just gotta figure out how to get to Austin!
