Okay, so today I wanted to keep better track of tennis scores, specifically focusing on Rublev because, well, I’m a fan. I’ve tried a few apps before, but nothing really stuck. They were either too complicated or just didn’t feel right. So, I decided to just do it myself, keep it super simple.
My DIY Score Tracking
First, I grabbed a plain old notebook. Nothing fancy, just something I could easily scribble in. I figured paper and pen would be the quickest way to get started, no need to fiddle with any apps or settings.
Then, I watched Rublev’s match. Every time a point was scored, I just made a little mark. I used a simple tally system:
- One line for each point.
- When he won a game, I’d circle the total number of points in that game.
- When he won set I record it.
It wasn’t pretty, but it worked! I could see, at a glance, how the match was progressing. And honestly, it felt more engaging than just passively watching the score on TV.
After the match, I thought about how I could make this even better. I could probably create a simple spreadsheet, you know, with columns for each set, and then rows for each game. I could even add some color-coding, maybe green for when he wins a point, red for when he loses. That way, it’d be even easier to see the flow of the match.
So, that’s what I’m going to try next time. It’s not rocket science, but it’s a fun little project, and it keeps me more involved in the matches. Plus, I get to track Rublev’s scores exactly how I want to. No more relying on apps that don’t quite fit my needs!
This whole thing is super basic, I know, but sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. It gets the job done, and it’s kind of satisfying to do things my own way.
