Okay, so I’ve been trying to keep better track of my tennis practice scores, and I stumbled upon this “Huesler” thing. I’m not a pro or anything, just trying to get better, you know?
First, I searched around for what exactly “Huesler tennis score” meant. Turns out, it’s probably referring to Marc-Andrea Huesler, a Swiss pro player. I’m definitely not at his level, but it gave me an idea.
My Scoring System:
- I started by just jotting down the raw scores of my practice sets. Like, “6-4, 3-6, 7-5” – that kind of thing. Simple enough.
- Then I thought, it would be cool to see how many games I win versus lose overall. So, I added a running total. Each day, I note down the total games won and lost.
- After a few practices, I figured out, I also wanted to note against who I played.
- I also decided to track my unforced errors, It’s a bit painful to see, but it helps me to know my mistakes.
- I realized that I needed to keep track of the date, too. That way, I can look back and see my (hopefully) progress.
It’s not fancy, it’s really just a basic note system in my phone. But it’s already helping me to see where I need to improve. I might try to find a simple app for this later, but for now, this handwritten note system works fine!
