Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this “football duo” idea, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster. Started off super hyped, thinking I’d crack it in an afternoon, but boy, was I wrong.
First thing I did was, I grabbed some paper and a pen. Yeah, old school, I know. I just wanted to sketch out some basic ideas, you know, like how these two players would interact, what their strengths would be, all that jazz. Filled up a couple of pages with random doodles and notes. It was messy, but it got the ball rolling.
Then, I fired up my computer, and this is where things got… interesting. I decided to use this simple drawing program, thinking it would be easy to just throw some shapes together. I’m no artist, mind you, so it was all stick figures and basic shapes.
- I started with the two players. One was supposed to be the speedy, agile type, the other a big, strong bruiser.
- Then I tried to add a football. That was… a challenge. It ended up looking more like a potato than a football.
- I spent a good hour just fiddling with the positions, trying to make it look like they were actually playing, not just standing around.
I’ve got to be honest, I got pretty frustrated. Things weren’t looking the way I wanted, and I almost gave up a few times. But I took a break, walked away for a bit, and then came back with fresh eyes.
I decided to simplify things even further. I ditched the fancy colors, stuck to basic black and white, and just focused on the core concept: two players, one ball, working together.
Finally Making Progress
Slowly but surely, it started to come together. It wasn’t perfect, not even close, but it was something. I could see the idea taking shape, and that was enough to keep me going.
I ended up with a simple drawing, but it captured the essence of what I was going for. Two stick figures, one passing the (potato-shaped) ball to the other. It’s rough, it’s basic, but it’s mine. And hey, it’s a start, right?
So, yeah, that’s my “football duo” journey so far. It’s been a bit of a mess, but a fun mess. I’m learning as I go, and that’s all that matters.
