Today, I wanna talk about something that got me all excited – keeping track of the Geelong football scores. You know, the Cats! I’m not the most tech-savvy guy, but I managed to put together a little system to keep me in the loop with their scores and some other stuff.
First, I had to figure out where to get the scores. I mean, I ain’t no expert, but I stumbled upon a few websites and news thingamajigs that talk about the Geelong Football Club. They got all sorts of stuff like match reports, player stats, and team updates. So, I thought, “Bingo! This is where I’ll get my info.”
Then, I started to actually, like, look at the information. I wasn’t just gonna copy and paste, nah. I read through some articles and found out they’re playing against Brisbane soon, in the Second Preliminary Final at the MCG. Sounds fancy, right? They even mentioned that tickets are available on this Ticketek site, whatever that is.
- Match Info: Geelong vs. Brisbane
- Event: Second Preliminary Final
- Location: MCG
- Time: 5:15 pm, Saturday
I also found out about this player, Max Holmes. Apparently, he won some big award called the ‘Carji’ Greeves Medal. Good for him! It seems like he’s been playing real good this season.
Digging Deeper
So, I kept digging. Turns out, Geelong ain’t just about one team. They got a whole bunch of teams playing in different leagues. They got a reserves men’s team in the VFL, a senior women’s team in the AFLW, and even a reserves women’s team in the VFLW. It’s like a whole football factory over there!
And get this – I found out that this year is gonna be Geelong’s 13th time playing in the Preliminary Final in the last 18 seasons. That’s a lot of finals! They must be doing something right.
Anyway, I’m still figuring out how to put all this info together in a way that makes sense to me. I might just end up with a messy spreadsheet, but hey, at least I’ll be up-to-date with the Cats’ scores. It’s all about having fun and learning something new, right?
Well, that is all for my little footy project. It ain’t much, but it’s honest work. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll turn this into something a bit more… organized. Until then, go Cats!
