Okay, so today I wanted to check out what’s happening with the Crown Point football game. I’m not a huge football fanatic or anything, but I like to keep up with what’s going on locally, you know?
Getting Started
First off, I grabbed my phone and opened up my usual sports app. You know, the one everyone uses. I tapped on the high school football section. Nothing. Nada. Not a single mention of Crown Point. What the heck, right?
Digging Deeper
Alright, plan B. I fired up my laptop and went straight to the local newspaper’s website. I figured they’d have something, being the local news and all. I scrolled through their sports section, and bam, there it was! A small blurb about the game, but no live updates. Seriously? It’s 2023, and we can’t get live updates for a high school football game?
Social Media Time
Next, I thought, maybe someone’s live-tweeting the game or something. So, I hopped onto Twitter and searched for “Crown Point football.” A few tweets popped up, mostly from parents and students at the game. Score updates here and there, but nothing consistent. It was like trying to piece together a puzzle with half the pieces missing.
Giving Up (Almost)
At this point, I was about to throw in the towel. I mean, how hard is it to get some live updates on a local game? But then, I remembered that Facebook group, you know, the one where everyone in town posts about lost dogs and garage sales. I figured, why not? I typed in “Crown Point football” in the group’s search bar.
Success at Last
And guess what? Bingo! Some kind soul was actually posting live updates from the game! They weren’t super detailed, but it was something. I finally got to see how the game was going, quarter by quarter. Better late than never, I guess.
Wrap-up
So, yeah, that’s how I ended up following the Crown Point football game today. It was way more of a hassle than it should’ve been. But hey, at least I got to see the updates eventually. Next time, I’m hoping it’s a bit easier to find the info. Or maybe I’ll just go to the game myself.
