Alright, let me tell you about this little adventure I had recently with the Navy women’s tennis schedule. I’ve been trying to keep up with more college sports lately, and tennis has always been a favorite of mine. So, I decided to dive into the Naval Academy’s women’s tennis team and see what their season looks like.
First, I started by trying to find the official website. That was not easy! I searched for it and found what I thought was the main site for the Naval Academy Athletics. I clicked around a bit, trying to find the women’s tennis section.
Once I finally found the women’s tennis page, it mentioned something about the team having nine returners from last season’s Patriot League championship squad. Nine! That’s almost the whole team! They must have been good last year. It also said they were going to open the 2024-25 season on Friday. That got me excited to see their full schedule.
So, my next move was to find their schedule for the upcoming season. I dug around the website some more. I found another page that was talking about the Army-Navy game, presented by USAA. This seems like a big deal, and they called it “America’s Game”. I made a mental note to look into that later.
Then, after a little more searching, I found a schedule, but it looked like it was from 2022. It listed games like one on 1/22/2022 against Saint Francis in Annapolis. This was something, but definitely not what I was looking for. I needed the current schedule!
I even stumbled upon a mention of live scores from a Navy and North Carolina game, with box scores and everything. It was interesting, but still not the full schedule I was after. There was another bit about a Spring 2020 schedule being on their website, but that’s ancient history now.
Finally, I found a page that had the schedule I wanted. It had the date, the opponent, the location, and even the time or result of the match. It even had games from last year, like one on 1/14/2023 at Samford in Birmingham. Now that I found what I need, I can plan to watch some matches.
This whole process was a bit more work than I expected, to be honest. But hey, I got there in the end. Now I’m all set to follow the Navy women’s tennis team this season, thanks to my little internet expedition!
