Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this idea for a “COD live score” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I had this idea that, you know, wouldn’t it be cool if you could get live updates on your COD stats? Like, right there, as you’re playing.
So I started poking around, trying to figure out how to make this happen. First, I thought, maybe there’s already something out there. I mean, COD’s huge, right? Turns out, there are a few things, these tracker sites and stuff, where you can see your stats and leaderboards and all that jazz. Some of them even talked about live updates, which got me hyped.
But it wasn’t exactly what I was imagining. I wanted something more… immediate. Like, you’re in the middle of a match, and boom, you see your score change right then and there. So I started diving deeper.
I started with looking at some Call of Duty companion, and it made me think that I can get some inspiration from it. Then I got this idea that I would develop an in-game app. It took me some time to figure out how to do it, but eventually I made it.
I also explored those tracker websites, they gave me ideas on how to display the data. I learned that these apps can somehow grab your stats as you play. I spent days, maybe weeks, trying to understand how these things work, how they pull the data. Finally, I found a way.
Then came the whole process of actually building it. I started with a basic design, nothing fancy, just something to show the scores. I used what I learned from other tracker sites to show the stats and all that. Figured I’d add some leaderboards and stuff later.
After many attempts, I finally had something that worked! It wasn’t pretty, but it was showing live scores! I was so stoked! I played a few matches, watching the numbers change in real-time, and it was awesome.
I am still working on it. I want to make it look nicer and add more features. Maybe one day, I will release it to the public so others can use it too.
So, yeah, that’s my little COD live score adventure. It’s been a lot of trial and error, a lot of learning, but it’s been fun. And who knows, maybe one day this little project of mine will actually be something big.
- Start: Had an idea for live COD score updates.
- Research: Checked existing trackers and companion apps.
- Learning: Figured out how to pull live game data.
- Building: Created a basic app to display live scores.
- Testing: Played games, watched scores update in real-time.
- Future: Plan to improve design and add features.
It’s a work in progress, but I’m excited to see where it goes. Anyone else ever tried building something like this?
