I really got into watching football matches in Halifax lately, especially the National League games. It’s been a wild ride trying to figure out how to catch all the action, so I thought I’d share my experience.
First off, I tried to find out where I can watch the games on TV. It was not so easy, to be honest. Then I remembered someone mentioned something called DAZN. I checked their website, and it looked like they have the rights to broadcast the National League matches. I thought, “Great! Problem solved!” But boy, was I in for a surprise.
I signed up for DAZN, excited to finally watch my local team, FC Halifax Town, play. But then I found out that not all the games are shown live. It was a bit of a bummer. I had to wait for the highlights, which is not the same as watching it live, you know?
Then, I thought I’d try to find some streaming options online. I did some digging and found out that sometimes the matches are streamed on the team’s website or some other platforms. There was this one time I was trying to watch a match between FC Halifax Town and Dagenham and Redbridge, and they had a whole guide on how to access the stream on their site.

- Finally, click on the link, and boom!
It seemed easy enough, but I still had some trouble getting it to work. After messing around with it for a while, I finally got the stream going. It wasn’t the best quality, and it kept buffering, but hey, at least I could watch the game!
Another thing I discovered is that there are some local places in Halifax that show the Premier League games on weekends. I haven’t checked them out yet, but my friend and I are planning to go to one of them soon. It’ll be nice to watch the games with other fans and have a few beers.
