Okay, so today I wanted to share a little adventure I had recently. It all started with me wanting to get back into hockey. I used to play a lot when I was younger, but life got in the way, you know how it is. Anyway, I was itching to get back on the ice, so I started looking up places to play in Hanover, MA. That’s where I am these days.
First thing I did was a quick search online. Typed in “ice skating rinks around Hanover, MA” and “hockey clubs in Hanover”. Lots of stuff popped up. Places like Rockland Ice Rink, Pilgrim Skating Arena, and a few others. Seems like there are quite a few options around here, which is great.
Next, I started checking out the reviews. I mean, you gotta know what you’re getting into, right? One place that kept coming up was Rockland Ice Rink. People were saying good things about it, so I figured I’d check it out. I also looked at some reviews for hockey clubs and saw a bunch listed on some website, but honestly, the reviews were all over the place. It was tough to tell which ones were actually good.
So, I decided to just go for it and visit a couple of these places myself. First stop was Rockland Ice Rink. I drove over there and I went inside. They had open skate times and stick practice. The ice looked pretty good, and there were a decent number of people there, but not too crowded. The place seemed to be well-maintained.
After that, I swung by Pilgrim Skating Arena. It’s a bit further away, but I figured I might as well check it out. This place was a little smaller, but the ice was still decent. They had some public skating sessions going on, and I saw a few people practicing hockey drills. They say it has a capacity of 3,806, which seemed alright.
- First step: Searched online for rinks and clubs.
- Second step: Checked out reviews to get an idea of the places.
- Third step: Visited Rockland Ice Rink and Pilgrim Skating Arena.
In the end, I decided to start with Rockland Ice Rink. It was closer, and the vibe just felt right. I signed up for a few stick practice sessions, and I’ve been going there a couple of times a week. It’s been great getting back on the ice. My legs are still getting used to it, and my hands aren’t quite as quick as they used to be, but it’s all coming back.
So yeah, that’s my little hockey adventure so far. If you’re in the Hanover area and looking to play some hockey or just do some skating, there are definitely some good options around. Just do a little digging, read some reviews, and maybe visit a couple of places to see which one fits you best. And who knows, maybe I’ll see you out on the ice sometime!
