Okay, so today I decided to check out this place called Harmon Family Football Park. I’d heard some buzz about it, mostly from other parents looking for places to let their kids burn off some energy. Here’s how it went down:
Getting Started
First things first, I had to figure out where this place even was. A quick search, nothing complicated, and I got the address. I packed up the kids, some snacks, and a football, because, you know, football park.
The Experience
We got there, and honestly, first impressions? It was pretty wide open. Lots of green, which is always a good sign. I saw a few other families scattered around, some kicking balls, others just chilling on the grass. It wasn’t super crowded, which was a definite plus for me.
The kids immediately took off. Seriously, they were like unleashed puppies. They started running around, throwing the ball, and generally just being kids. I’m pretty sure they didn’t stop moving for a good hour.
I took a stroll to check things out. There were some goalposts, which was cool. Not full-sized ones, but definitely big enough for some casual games. We are not professional football player, right? It’s just for fun.
- Plenty of open space for running.
- Goalposts for some casual games.
- Other families but not overly packed.
Wrapping Up
After a couple of hours, the kids were finally starting to tire out (mission accomplished!). We packed up our stuff, grabbed some water, and headed home. They were super happy, so that will be great memories.
Overall, Harmon Family Football Park was a win. It’s not fancy, but it’s a great spot to let the kids run wild and play some football. Definitely a place I’d go back to, especially on a nice day when everyone’s got that “need to be outside” feeling.
