Well, I’m not a professional blogger, but I do like to share my experiences, especially when it comes to sports. Today, I want to talk about my recent deep dive into the Fairfield University Men’s Tennis team. I’ve been following them for a while, but lately, I’ve really gotten into the nitty-gritty of their season.
First off, I started by looking up their official page on the Fairfield University Stags website. That’s where I got the basic information like their roster, schedule, and some general news about the team. It’s a decent starting point, but I wanted to know more.
Then, I dug into their season record. Turns out, they finished the regular season with a 6-0 record in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Pretty impressive, right? I mean, that’s a clean sweep! I was getting excited to learn more at this point.
My next move was to find out how they did in the MAAC tournament. They made it to the finals! Sadly, they lost, but it sounds like it was a tough match. Still, making it to the finals is a big deal. I read up on some articles detailing the match and it seems they fought hard until the end.

I also saw that they had some other notable matches. For example, they had a match against Fairleigh Dickinson University on March 11, 2020. I even found out they played against Sacred Heart University on March 20th and won 4-0, extending their winning streak to three games.
On top of all this, I found out the team got ranked in the top 10 in the region! That’s a huge accomplishment and speaks volumes about their hard work and dedication. They are NCAA Division I, the highest level in the United States!
What I learned
Honestly, I was just curious about the team, but after doing all this digging, I’m genuinely impressed. They’ve had a fantastic season, even with the loss in the MAAC finals. It’s clear these guys are talented and committed. I’ll definitely be keeping a closer eye on them in the future. It’s inspiring to see a group of college athletes perform at such a high level. I also learned some information about the rating system, which from 0 to 3000.
