Okay, so, let me tell you about this little project I took on. It wasn’t anything huge, but it was kinda fun. I wanted to dig into the Villanova men’s tennis team, you know? Just wanted to see what they were all about. I started by doing some simple searches online, just typing in “Villanova men’s tennis” and seeing what popped up.
I ended up going through a bunch of different websites that had bits and pieces about the team. Some of these were sports news sites. You know the type, they give you the latest scores and some general info about the players. I wrote down some notes as I went, just some basic stuff like who the top players were, recent match results, that kind of thing.
Then I decided to check out some event listings, things like where you find tennis tournaments. That helped me get a better sense of their schedule, where they were playing, and who they were competing against. These websites gave me some event dates, which was pretty helpful. I also saw that they played in the Lehigh Invitational for their season opener. I made sure to jot that down.
I also tried to find some information on their roster. It looked like they have a roster for the 2024-25 season. I also saw that they competed at the Dragon Invitational from November 1-3 and faced Delaware. That was a pretty cool find. I added all these details to my notes. By the way, I saw a mention about getting some kind of “Recruiting Advantage” to see who was interested in playing for them, but I didn’t go that route. Wasn’t really what I was looking for. I found a few player names, wrote those down too.
After I gathered all this stuff, I figured I’d organize it a bit. Nothing fancy, just wanted to have it all in one place so I could get a clearer picture. I ended up with a nice little summary of the team’s recent activities, their schedule, and some key players.
Honestly, it was a pretty chill project. I learned a bit about the team and got a better understanding of how to find this kind of information online. Not bad for a casual deep dive. It is interesting to see how a Division I team like Stanford compares to Villanova. I might look into that more later.
