Alright, so I’ve been meaning to get back into tennis for a while now. It’s been years, but I used to play a lot in college and really missed it. The weather’s been kinda crappy lately, so I figured an indoor court was the way to go. First thing I did was to hop online and look for places nearby that offered indoor tennis.
I found a few options, but one place, in particular, caught my eye. It looked pretty legit, and they had decent reviews, so I decided to give them a call. The guy on the phone was super chill and answered all my questions. We chatted about court availability, pricing, and all that jazz. Turns out, they had a court open that afternoon, which was perfect.
Booking and Getting There
- I booked the court for an hour, just to see how it felt to play again after such a long time.
- Then I dug out my old tennis racket from the back of the closet. It was a bit dusty, but still in good shape.
- I also found my tennis shoes and threw on some comfy workout clothes.
Getting to the place was a breeze. It was only about a 20-minute drive. I parked the car and headed inside. The staff at the front desk were friendly and showed me to the court.
The Court and Playing
The court itself was really nice. It was well-lit, and the surface seemed well-maintained. I did a few warm-up stretches and then started hitting some balls against the wall. At first, my shots were all over the place. I was rusty, no doubt. But slowly, I started to get my groove back.
I practiced my forehand, backhand, and serves. It felt so good to be back on the court, smacking that ball around. Even though it was just me, I still had a blast. Remembering how to serve properly took some time though.
Wrapping Up
After about an hour, I was pretty gassed. But it was a good kind of tired. I packed up my stuff and headed out. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’m definitely going to go back. I might even try to find a hitting partner next time. It’s awesome to have a solid indoor option for when the weather isn’t cooperating. If you’re thinking about getting back into tennis, or even trying it for the first time, I highly recommend checking out an indoor court. It’s a great way to get some exercise and have some fun, no matter the weather.
