Okay, so today I decided to dig into something I’ve been curious about for a while: basketball in Inner Mongolia. Honestly, I didn’t know much about it, so I figured, why not explore and see what I could find?
Getting Started
First things first, I opened my browser. My go-to move is usually just hitting up Google, so that’s exactly what I did. I typed in “Inner Mongolia basketball” and hit enter. I wanted to get a general feel for the scene, you know? Like, are there any pro teams? Any big tournaments? Just the basics.

The search results started to populate.
I scrolled through, trying to avoid anything that looked too commercial or like, just straight-up ads. I was more interested in news articles, maybe some blogs, anything that gave me a sense of the real basketball culture there.
Discoveries
It seems that in China,the WCBA (Women’s Chinese Basketball Association) exists.I found that The Inner Mongolia Nongxin women’s basketball team is a force to be reckoned with.I discovered they are a pretty big deal!
