Okay, so today I wanted to make a simple tennis score board. Nothing too fancy, just something to keep track of the score when I’m playing with my friends.
First, I grabbed a piece of cardboard from an old box. It was a pretty big box, so I had plenty to work with.
Then, I used a ruler and a marker to draw out a basic grid. I made two big columns, one for each player. Underneath those, I created smaller boxes for each game in a set.
- One column for “Player 1”
- One column for “Player 2”
- Rows to track the score of each set
I decided to keep it simple, I wanted just display the current score, not previous sets.
Next, I needed something to represent the points. I found some old bottle caps – perfect! I used two different colors, one for each player. And wrote number on small paper “0”, “15”, “30”, “40”, and “AD”.
To make the numbers easy to read. I used the marker wrote big and bold, so we could see them from across the court.
How to Use:
When a player scores, we just to the correct number in their column!
It’s super simple, but it gets the job done! No more arguing about the score – we can just focus on playing.
