Alright, alright, gather ’round, lemme tell ya ’bout this Kentucky basketball bunch from 2018. You know, the ones with the shorts and the bouncy ball?
So, this Kentucky team, they had a bunch of boys runnin’ around the court. Big boys, tall boys, boys tryin’ to throw that ball in the hoop. Don’t ask me their names, too many for this old noggin. But they sure did run a lot, up and down, up and down. Reminded me of my chickens when I scatter feed.
Games and Such
Now, they played a bunch of games. Won some, lost some. I remember they played Duke once. Duke, they were somethin’ else. Beat Kentucky like a drum, they did. But Kentucky, they kept on tryin’. Like I always say, “Can’t win ’em all, but ya gotta keep throwin’ the eggs at the wall, somethin’s gotta stick.”
- They played Transylvania, somethin’ like that. Beat ’em good, I think.
- Then there was IUP. Beat them too. I dunno what IUP stands for, probably some fancy city folks stuff.
- And Duke, well, we talked about that whoopin’.
They played a whole lot more, but who can keep track? It’s like tryin’ to count the stars in the sky, gets all blurry after a while.
Players and Whatnot
Now, they had players, these boys. Some went on to play in those big leagues, you know, the NBA. I heard ’bout one fella, Towns, somethin’ like that. Big fella. Another one, Tshiebwe, hard to say that one. And Vanderbilt, fancy name that is. They all went off to play for money. Good for them, I suppose. Keeps ’em outta trouble.
They had some young fellas, too. Signed up to play for Kentucky later on. Johnson, Lewis, Moreno. Hope they play good. Nothin’ worse than a boy who can’t throw a ball straight.
Other Stuff
They got scores, news, schedules, all that jazz. Pictures, too. Probably got ’em all smilin’ and lookin’ pretty. And stats, whatever those are. Numbers, I guess. Always with the numbers. Can’t just play the game, gotta count everything, too. Makes my head spin.
Kentucky’s got other sports too, not just basketball. But we’re talkin’ basketball here, ain’t we? Stay on topic, that’s what I always say.
