Alright, guys, gather ’round, gather ’round! Today, I’m gonna share my little adventure on figuring out the 2024 Kentucky basketball roster. It’s been quite a ride, let me tell you!
So, first things first, I started where any normal person would – just hitting up the internet. I typed in “Kentucky 2024 basketball roster” into my search bar, and bam! Tons of stuff popped up. News articles, sports websites, you name it. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest.
I started clicking around, reading this and that. I saw that Mark Pope was named the head coach on April 12, 2024. That’s a big deal, right? A new coach always shakes things up. I also found out about this crazy overtime game against Gonzaga. Kentucky was down by 18 points but came back and won! Shows they’ve got some serious fight in them.
Then, I dug into the players. There are three new guys committed to the team: Jasper Johnson, Malachi Moreno, and Lamont Butler. These guys are supposed to be pretty good, ranked high in their class. I mean you see, Johnson is No. 24 and Moreno is No.32. Oh, and I found Trent Noah is on the team too.

I stumbled upon this one website that had a whole list of players for the 2024-25 season. They said there are 14 players in total. Fourteen! That’s a lot of names to remember. I tried to write them all down, but honestly, my handwriting is terrible, and I kept messing up.
My Findings
After a few hours of this, I felt like my head was spinning. But I managed to piece together a decent idea of who’s on the team. It’s a mix of returning players and these new hotshots. And with Coach Pope leading the way, it’s anyone’s guess how they’ll do. I even saw some talk about John Calipari, the old coach, but I didn’t pay too much attention to that. I’m all about looking forward, you know?
Anyway, that’s my little journey into the Kentucky basketball roster. It wasn’t exactly smooth sailing, but I got there in the end. I’m no expert, but I feel like I’ve got a pretty good handle on it now. It took some serious digging, some serious clicking, and a whole lot of patience, but I finally figured it out. Now, I’m just excited to see these guys play! Go Cats!
