Now let me tell ya ’bout a boy named Landon Resendes. He’s a young fella from Marlborough, Massachusetts. Born on December 10, 2005, Landon’s been skating around the ice and makin’ waves in the world of hockey. Some folks say he’s got a real talent for it, and I reckon they’re right. From what I’ve heard, he’s been playin’ hockey since he was just a little lad, and now he’s makin’ quite the name for himself, especially at Cushing Academy, where he’s been playin’ for their varsity team. I gotta say, that boy sure knows how to handle a puck.
Now, don’t go thinkin’ this is just some ordinary kid. No, no, no. Landon Resendes is somethin’ special. In fact, he went and won himself the 2023 USHR Forward of the Year Award. That’s a big deal, ya know! There ain’t too many folks can say they won an award like that, especially at such a young age. And let me tell ya, he didn’t just win that award by luck or by chance. No sir, he worked real hard for it. I’ve seen some clips of him playin’, and I gotta say, he’s quick on his feet, and when he gets that puck, well, it’s like he’s a man on a mission!
As for the school he’s playin’ for, that’s Cushing Academy, a real fine institution. It’s a prep school, and they’ve got themselves a mighty good hockey program. You know, the kind of place where you can really show off your skills. Landon’s a junior there, which means he’s in his third year of playin’. He’s got one more year to go, but don’t think that means he’s just sittin’ back and relaxin’. Oh no, he’s keepin’ his head down and workin’ hard to make it all the way to the top.
And I reckon he’s well on his way to doin’ just that. I heard he’s already been recruited by Boston College, which is no small feat. Now, if you know anything ’bout hockey, you know Boston College is a big name in the sport. They’ve got themselves a storied program, and for a young fella like Landon to get noticed by them, well, that speaks volumes. He’s got big things ahead of him, that’s for sure.
But let me tell ya, the boy didn’t just get by on his talent alone. He’s had to put in some hard work, and I’m sure there’ve been plenty of long nights and early mornings. Hockey ain’t no easy game, and it takes a lot of grit and determination. I’ve heard folks say that Landon’s one of the hardest workers they’ve seen, and that’s probably why he’s been so successful. You don’t get to be the USHR Forward of the Year by sittin’ around twiddlin’ your thumbs, that’s for sure.
Now, I don’t know exactly where Landon’s future’s gonna take him, but I sure do hope he keeps doin’ what he loves. From where I’m sittin’, it looks like he’s got the talent, the drive, and the heart to make it all the way to the top. We could be lookin’ at a future NHL star, y’all! And if that’s the case, then I reckon he’s gonna make his folks and his town mighty proud.
In the meantime, we’ll be watchin’ closely to see how Landon does in his final year at Cushing Academy. I reckon he’s gonna keep workin’ hard, keep gettin’ better, and who knows? Maybe we’ll see him takin’ to the ice for Boston College next year. It’ll be a sight to see, that’s for sure.
Well, that’s all I got for now. Just remember, if you ever see this Landon Resendes boy playin’ hockey, you better take a good look. He’s got a bright future ahead of him, and I’d bet my last penny that we’ll be hearin’ a lot more about him in the years to come.
