Hey everyone, so I’ve been really digging into this whole Larry Jordan basketball thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride! You know, everyone talks about Michael Jordan being the GOAT, but I wanted to see what the deal was with his older brother, Larry.
So, first thing I did was hit up the internet, you know, the usual spots, just to get a feel for what people were saying about Larry. And man, the stories started popping up. Apparently, back in the day, Larry was a beast on the court. Some folks even said he was better than Michael when they were younger. Can you believe that?
Next, I tried to find some old footage of Larry playing. That was tough, let me tell you. It’s not like today where everyone’s got a camera in their pocket. But I managed to find a couple of grainy clips. And from what I could see, Larry had some serious skills. He was quick, had a killer jump shot, and could handle the ball like a pro. I had some hard time to find his videos, the record is rare.
But here’s the kicker, Larry never made it to the NBA. It seems like he just didn’t grow tall enough. Michael himself said that if Larry had been a few inches taller, things might have been different. That’s kind of crazy to think about, right? I mean, you’ve got this guy who was possibly just as talented as his superstar brother, but because of his height, he didn’t get the same opportunities. I kept thinking about this, what would happen if Larry had the same opportunity as Michael?
What I’ve really taken away from this whole deep dive is that:
- First, talent isn’t everything. You gotta have a little bit of luck and the right circumstances, too. I mean that I finally figure out that height really matters in basketball game.
- Second, it’s easy to get lost in the shadows of someone else’s success. But that doesn’t mean your own story isn’t worth telling. I think most of the people only focus on the success of Michael but just forgot that there might be someone also great just standing in the shadow.
- Third, Michael once said: “I’ve always believed that if you put in the work, the results will come.” It did happen on himself, even though his brother was a more talented player when they were young.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of Larry Jordan basketball. It’s definitely made me think a lot about how things work out in life and how important it is to appreciate the journeys of those who might not be in the spotlight. Anyway, I just wanted to share my thoughts on this. Maybe it’ll give you something to chew on, too!
