Okay, so today I decided to dive into the world of St. John’s Ice Hockey. I’ve always been curious about how teams manage their schedules, stats, and all that, so I thought, why not try to get a handle on it myself?
First things first, I needed to find a place to start. I mean, where does one even find this kind of information? I started with a simple search and after fumbling around for a bit, I began to find what I was looking for.
I spent a good chunk of time just reading through articles, forums, and anything else I could find. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest. There’s so much information out there, and sifting through it all was quite a task.
After I felt like I had a decent grasp of the basics, I started poking around for some real data. I wanted to see if I could find past schedules, scores, you name it. It was like being a digital detective!
Digging into the Data
I found that the information is kind of scattered all over the place.I figured out how to find historical data and then i tried to gather everything.
My goal was to see if I could consolidate all of this information in one place. So, I started copying and pasting everything into a simple spreadsheet. Pretty basic, I know, but it was a start! I made columns for dates, opponents, scores, and anything else that seemed important.
Making Sense of It All
Once I had all this data in front of me, I started playing around with it.I looked for patterns, like home game wins vs. away game wins. It was pretty interesting to see everything laid out like that.
Honestly, it was a lot of trial and error. I’m no expert in data analysis or anything, but it was fun to just explore and see what I could find. It felt like I was uncovering little secrets about the team’s performance.
This whole thing took up a good part of my day, but I actually enjoyed it. It was like solving a puzzle, and I felt a sense of accomplishment when I started to see the bigger picture. It’s definitely something I’d like to explore more in the future. Maybe I’ll even try to build a simple website or something to display the data. Who knows!
