Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get into the local hockey scene here, and Greeley seemed like a good place to start. I’m not a pro or anything, just someone who likes the sport and wanted to see what’s up.
Getting Started
First thing I did was just look around online. Typed in “Greeley hockey” to see what would pop up. I found some info about the Greeley Grinders, which is a youth hockey association, it looks like. I saw some stuff about adult leagues, too, but I’m no pro, so I wanted to check it out a game first.
The Experience
I went and find a schedule of games online. It looks like they have different levels, from beginner to more advanced. I found some information that looks like they have “stick and puck” times, which I think means you can just go and practice your skills. I’m not sure and might be a fun thing to explore.

Next Steps
My next move is to just going to see the game. I need to find out where the rink is. I’ll probably try to go to a game or two, just to get a feel for it. Maybe I’ll even try to get a feel for how the skill levels match up. I’m excited to do it!
