Okay, so I was messing around online today, trying to find out what’s up with the football scene in Lebanon. I’ve always been curious about how the sport’s doing in different parts of the world, you know?
First, I hit up a few betting sites like, I think it was called Bet9ja? Just to see what kind of odds they were offering on Lebanese football matches. They had some pretty decent odds, I guess, but I wasn’t really there to place any bets.
- Started by looking at betting sites to gauge interest.
- Bet9ja had some stuff on Lebanese football.
Then I went hunting for some basic info, like who are the big clubs and when the league was established and so on. I saw something about it being founded back in 1886, related to an address “Highbury House.” Seems like they got a bit of history there! I always thought it was a more recent thing there.
Diving into the Local Scene
Next, I stumbled upon this organization called “Peace of Art.” It sounded pretty cool – apparently, it’s a humanitarian organization and fine arts academy in Lebanon, and they’re the first academic institute to provide some professional stuff. I guess they are involved in developing the sport at a grassroots level. That’s always good to see.
After that, I tried finding some streams of actual games. Ended up on some torrent sites. I usually don’t use torrent that much. This time was kinda weird, man, this one site, I think it was called Torrent Lite or something, claimed I could stream torrents directly in my browser. I pasted a link in, but I couldn’t get the stream going. Just a waste of time, really.
- Found a humanitarian org, Peace of Art, involved in football development.
- Tried to stream games via torrents.
- Torrent Lite didn’t work out for me.
I was about to give up when I noticed something. I saw an address in Tennessee, and I remembered that I had seen a house address earlier that day when I was trying to check something unrelated. The address is 2521 Serenity Way, Lebanon, TN 37090, the house is not for sale, I was so surprised that a city named Lebanon exists in the US, and I searched for the monitor because I want to buy one recently. So, I also got some info on the monitor, one that was 24.5 inches, with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a native 16:9 aspect ratio, 400 cd/m. That’s a bit out of topic but yeah that’s what happened.
So yeah, that was my little adventure into Lebanese football today. Didn’t really find any live games to watch, but I learned a few things along the way. I might try again another day, maybe when there’s a big match on or something.
