Okay, so, yesterday I decided to hit up the Cole Tennis Courts. It was a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing. I grabbed my racket and a can of balls, and just went for it.
Getting There
Finding the place was pretty easy. It’s in a decent part of town, you know, the kind of place where you feel okay walking around, even after dark. I drove there, and parking wasn’t a hassle at all. There’s a good amount of space, so you’re not circling for ages trying to find a spot.
The Courts
- They’ve got lights, which is awesome. I’m a night owl, so being able to play after the sun goes down is a huge plus for me.
- The courts themselves are in pretty good shape. The surface is decent, not too many cracks or anything. And, you can tell they take some care of the area.
- There were a few people already playing when I got there, but not so many that it was packed. There are enough courts that you don’t feel crowded.
Playing
I ended up playing for a couple of hours. First, I just hit against the wall for a bit to warm up. Then, a guy who was also there solo asked if I wanted to hit. We rallied for a while, and then played a few sets. It was a good workout, and the other players seemed pretty chill. Everyone was there to have a good time and get some exercise, nothing too serious or competitive, which is just the way I like it.
Wrapping Up
After I was done, I hung around for a few minutes, just cooling down and watching some of the other matches. There’s a nice vibe there, and the lights make it feel really inviting, even as it gets later. I will definitely go back to Cole Tennis Courts again. It’s a solid place to play, whether you’re going solo or with friends, day or night.
So, yeah, that was my experience at Cole Tennis Courts. It was a good time, and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a place to play in the area. Just grab your racket, and head on over!
