Okay, so I wanted to keep better track of how the Vermont Catamounts football team was doing this season. I’m a big fan, but sometimes it’s hard to find all the scores in one place, you know?
First, I tried just Googling “Vermont football scores” every now and then. That kind of worked, but it was a pain. I’d get a bunch of random articles, some old stuff, and it was just messy. I wanted something more organized.
Then, I thought about using one of those big sports apps. But honestly, they have way too much going on. All those other sports and teams I don’t care about, just cluttering things up. Plus, I find all the constant notifications a bit too much.
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I’m no tech wizard, but I can handle a basic spreadsheet. I opened up a new Google Sheet – super simple, everyone can use it, and it’s free.
My Super Simple Score Tracking System
- Column A: Date of the game. Gotta know when they played, right?
- Column B: Opponent. Who were they up against?
- Column C: Vermont’s Score. The important number!
- Column D: Opponent’s Score. Need that for the full picture.
- Column E: Win/Loss. Just a quick “W” or “L” so I can see how they’re doing at a glance.
After each game, I spend like two minutes finding the score online, usually on the school’s athletic website. The website has good imformation. I quickly input my new-found data into my trusty spreadsheet.
Now, whenever I’m curious about how the Catamounts are doing, I just open up my spreadsheet. It’s all right there, nice and clean. No extra fluff, no distractions. Just Vermont football scores, the way I like it!
It’s not fancy, but it works for me! It’s way better than wading through all that internet mess. Sometimes the simplest way is the best way, I figured.
