Well, lemme tell ya ’bout this here basketball game, the Louisville and Bellarmine one. Y’know, the one where they bounce the ball and throw it in the hoop? Yeah, that one. So, Louisville, they scored a whole bunch. Like, a real big number. A hundred, they say. A hundred points! Can ya believe it? That’s like countin’ to a hundred, but with points in basketball.
Bellarmine, they scored too, but not as much. Sixty-eight, I heard. Still a lot, if ya ask me. But not as much as a hundred, no sirree. It’s like when you got a big pile of potatoes and someone else has a smaller pile. Both piles are good, but one’s just bigger.
Now, there were these two fellas, Terrence somethin’ and Kasean somethin’ else. Hard names to remember, ain’t they? Well, these two, they scored almost half of Louisville’s points. Forty-seven between ’em. That’s like if you had a basket of apples and someone else helped you fill it up almost halfway. Good teamwork, I reckon.
- Louisville scored a hundred points.
- Bellarmine scored sixty-eight points.
- Terrence and Kasean scored forty-seven points together.
Folks were sayin’ that Louisville had some trouble with Bellarmine in the past. Lost to ’em once, and struggled another time. But not this game. This game, Louisville was like a rooster in the henhouse, strutting their stuff. They didn’t let Bellarmine get ahead, no way. It’s like when you’re tryin’ to catch a chicken, and it keeps runnin’ away. Louisville, they caught that chicken this time.
And that coach, Pat Kelsey, he didn’t let the other players play much until the end. Kept his main guys in ’til there was only a minute left. Guess he wanted to make sure they won, didn’t wanna take no chances. It’s like when you’re bakin’ a pie, and you don’t take it out of the oven ’til it’s just right. You gotta be sure it’s done.
They say there’s a place where you can look up all the numbers from basketball games. Stats, they call ’em. Like a big ol’ book of scores and who did what. I don’t know much about that, but if you like numbers, sounds like somethin’ you’d enjoy. Me, I just like watchin’ the game, seein’ the ball go in the hoop.
So, that’s the story of the Louisville and Bellarmine game. Louisville scored a lot, Bellarmine scored some, and two fellas scored almost half. And the coach, he kept his main players in ’til the end. A good game, I’d say. Now, where’s my tea? All this talkin’ makes me thirsty.
