Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get more involved with local high school sports, and I figured, why not start with something I kinda know – hockey! I decided to dive into Lowell Catholic hockey. I’m no expert, but I’ve always enjoyed watching the game, so I thought it would be a fun project to learn more about the team.
First, I had to find their schedule. This was surprisingly easy. Just went to their home page, and BOOM, there it was, nice and clear. I put all the upcoming games in my calendar, so I will not forget them.
Next, I wanted to know more about the players. I looked around their website, and I could find some of their information, like their names and the numbers on their shirts. I am trying to memorize some, so I can shout their names when I am watching the games.
Then, I went to watch a few games. Let me tell you, high school hockey is intense! These kids are fast, physical, and surprisingly skilled. I was really impressed with the level of play. The Lowell Catholic team has some real standouts. It’s super exciting to see these young athletes giving it their all.
- Find the home page.
- check the team’s game schedule.
- Find and memorize some player’s names.
- Go to the games and enjoy.
I also tried to find some news articles or blog posts about the team. Just to get some additional context, you know? Found a couple of local sports reports, which gave me a bit more insight into the team’s recent performance and some of the key players.
Honestly, this whole “following Lowell Catholic hockey” thing has been way more engaging than I expected. It’s not just about watching the games; it’s about getting invested in the team, the players, and the whole community around it. It gives me something to look forward to, something to cheer for. Plus, it is good to go outside, walking and get fresh air.
My Following Plan
I’m planning to keep attending games, maybe even try to chat with some of the parents or other fans to get their perspectives. I figure the more I learn, the more I’ll appreciate the sport and the team. Plus, who knows, maybe I’ll even start to understand all the rules eventually!
