Okay, so today I decided to dive into this “intentional grounding” thing in college football. I’d heard about it, seen some posts, but never really tried it myself. Figured it was time to see what all the fuss was about.
Getting Started
>
First, I needed to find a game. I’m no expert, I just picked a game from top team, I already know the team’s name.
Then, grab the remote, and find a spot to watch. I just sprawled out on the floor – maximum comfort, you know?
My ‘Intentional Grounding’ Experiment
I started by just, watching, try to understand what the hell is going on with “intentional grounding”. At first it happened very fast and I could not get it.
- Focusing on the game: I tried to push everything else to watch this game.
- Understanding rules: The rules is a little bit complecated, so that I searched online during the game.
The Result?
Honestly, it was pretty cool. I think I got, like, 70% of the rules? Maybe? The point is, I felt way more into the game than usual. I was noticing, yelling at the screen. My dog even came over to see what all the commotion was about.
I definitely get the appeal now. It’s not just about football it’s about really being there, in the moment. I’m gonna try this again next week, for sure. Maybe with snacks next time, and keep searching online to understand all rules.
