Well, let me tell ya ’bout them Liberty football jerseys, ya know, the ones them young fellers wear when they’re runnin’ around throwin’ that there ball. I seen ’em on TV a few times, all bright and shiny.
Where to git ’em, you ask? Well, I ain’t never bought one myself, mind you, but I hear tell you can git ’em at that “NCAA Shop”. Sounds fancy, huh? They got all sorts of stuff there, not just jerseys, but hats and shirts and whatnots. And they say you can find ’em online too, at a place called “Fanatics”. Now, I ain’t never used no computer, but my grandson, he’s always clickin’ away on that thing. He says you can buy pretty near anythin’ on there.
They got all different kinds, ya know? Some look just like the ones the players wear, them “authentic” ones they call ’em. Them’s probably the expensive ones, I reckon. Then they got the “replica” ones, which look kinda the same but ain’t quite as fancy. My nephew, he got one of them replica ones last year, and he wears it all the time, even to church! Bless his heart.
And the colors! They got all sorts of colors. I seen red ones, blue ones, even some gray ones. They say the light blue is a special color for the school, somethin’ they just started usin’ lately. I always liked a good blue myself, reminds me of the sky on a clear day.
- They got jerseys for men, of course, ’cause it’s mostly men playin’ that football game.
- But I think I seen some smaller ones too, maybe for the little fellers who wanna be like their daddies.
- And they got ’em for different sports too, not just football. Basketball, they say. I ain’t never watched much basketball, myself. Too much runnin’ back and forth for my likin’.
Now, what are they made of? Well, I ain’t no expert, but I hear tell they’re made of cotton or wool or some kinda fancy new material. They gotta be tough, I reckon, to stand up to all that runnin’ and jumpin’ and fallin’ them boys do. My grandson says some are made by a company called “Nike”. He says they make all sorts of sports stuff. I tell ya, these young folks know so much these days.
Why would ya want one? Well, I guess if you’re a fan of the Liberty team, you’d want to wear their jersey to show your support. Like wearin’ your team’s colors, ya know? My grandson, he wears his jersey to all the games, and he yells and hollers and cheers for them boys. Gets all worked up, he does. But it makes him happy, so I don’t say nothin’.
And they say you can git ’em on sale sometimes, especially around the holidays. That’s when they try to get you to spend all your money, ya know. But if you’re lookin’ for a deal, that’s the time to git it. My niece, she got a jersey for her husband last Christmas, and she said she got a real good price on it.
So, there ya have it. That’s about all I know ’bout them Liberty football jerseys. They’re shirts, they’re colorful, and they got somethin’ to do with that football game them young fellers play. If you want one, go git one. It ain’t none of my business.
Just remember, it’s just a shirt, ya know? It ain’t gonna make you play football any better, and it ain’t gonna make you any younger. But if it makes you happy, well, then I guess it’s worth it. That’s what I always say, anyway.
And don’t you be spendin’ all your hard-earned money on somethin’ you don’t need. You gotta save for a rainy day, ya know? That’s what my mama always told me. But if you got a little extra cash and you want to show your support for them Liberty boys, well, then go ahead and git yourself a jersey. Just don’t come cryin’ to me if you can’t pay your bills next month.
Now, I gotta go make myself some supper. All this talk about football jerseys is makin’ me hungry. You take care now, ya hear?
